A Grade Team Pointscore
Big movers in the Clyde Marshall Shield pointscore were the Central Coast Crushers who jump into second spot with an impressive display of team riding at Wootton. But despite their continuous attacks Dean Megahey from NewRad Team 2 took the honours and kept NewRad's aspirations for the shield on track for now. See the full race report in the News section
Standings as at 22/6/2009:
- NewRad Gateshead 2 - 30pts
- Central Coast Crushers - 21pts
- Manning Valley CC1 - 12pts
- NewRad Gateshead 1 - 8pts
- Barbarians 1 - 0pts
- Pain Gang - 0pts
- NewRad Gateshead 3 - 0pts
- Active Cycles - 0pts
- The Penetrators - 0pts
- HDCC - 0pts
- The Chain Gang - 0pts
There's only one race left in the series, but mathematically any team can still win it: if a team with no points clean sweeps places 1 to 4 then they'll get 33 points and take the shield. And with the Crushers on home turf at Calga the NewRad Gateshead 2 team will need to place well if they are to defend their position at the top of the table.
Central Division Cycling provides interclub racing for members of the following cycling clubs:
Interclub racing gives riders a chance to compete in larger and more competitive fields, meet riders from other clubs in a social racing environment, and experience racing on a variety of courses. Central Division provides an ideal bridge between club level and State Open racing for developing riders.
Each club conducts one road race during the winter season, and there is a single CD Track Open during summer.
